Last Open Call for Session Organizers at the XX ISA World Congress of Sociology in Melbourne 2023. DL: May 31 24:00 GMT

The hard deadline for submitting a session proposal for the XX ISA World Congress of Sociology is days away, on Tuesday, May 31, 24:00 GMT.

Research Committee 02 (Economy & Society) will hold at least 22 sessions—we need your best ideas! Each session is 110 minutes and can accommodate five papers and time for collective discussion. I am most interested in proposals for research topics that involve an open call for papers that can potentially attract scholars from across the globe. To read more about what it is like to be a Session Organizer, please click this link about future deadlines. To submit a session proposal, submit your 250-word proposal here: https://isaconf.confex.com/isaconf/wc2023/cfs.cgi then click ‘Research Committees” and then “RC02 Economy and Society.” The hard deadline is May 31, 24:00 GMT.

Please note that this deadline is ONLY for colleagues interested in proposing sessions. Most scholars attend to present their research. In late June there will be hundreds of calls for abstracts to present your research at the World Congress. The deadline for responding to these calls for abstracts will be July-September 2022. RC02 will announce these opportunities in late June.

If you have any questions about session proposals for RC02, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me (Aaron.Pitluck@IllinoisState.edu). I look forward to reading your proposals on the Confex platform.
