The preliminary program for the 2021 virtual conference is now available! We have many exciting events planned, with the slate of featured speakers including Stephanie Kelton, Jane Mansbridge, Alexander Kentikelenis, Hartmut Rosa, and Nancy Folbre. Featured panels will address structural racism and COVID-19, migration during and after the pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement in historical context, the end of neo-liberalism, transformative innovation, essential work(ers) in a post-Covid-19 World, and Brexit.

We are very grateful to the Program Committee – Zophia Edwards, Paola Perez-Aleman, Len Seabrooke, Karen Shire, and Olav Velthuis – for putting together a spectacular line-up of Featured events. And we are proud to announce this year’s virtual organizing committee: president Sigrid Quack can count on the enthusiastic support of Matthias Schuler and Tobias Schäfer (both from the KHK/Centre for Global Cooperation Research) and Ute Klammer (Institute for Work, Skills and Training - IAQ and the Deutsches Institut für Interdisziplinäre Sozialpolitikforschung - DIFIS). The KHK/Centre for Global Cooperation Research, in collaboration with the IAQ and the DIFIS, is the official virtual organizer of this year’s conference. We thank all three for their invaluable support!

Please visit the preliminary program here, and learn more about our featured speakers and panels here.

And this year, for the first time, we are happy to announce that you can audit the virtual conference for a modest fee. Auditing fees can be found here – we encourage you to share this information widely, and encourage interested parties to join the dialogue! This is an excellent occasion for you and your department or institution give some of your students a taste of an international conference.

While registration for auditors will remain open until June 30th, please note that conference participants must register by May 31st
