Ca’ Foscari invites applications for a non-tenured position for an Assistant Professor in the area of Economic Sociology and Sociology of Work and Organizations

Ca’ Foscari is looking for a part time researcher in the area of Economic Sociology and Sociology of Work and Organizations, capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.
The assistant professor will carry out research aimed at analysing the social impact of social innovation initiatives and projects, with specific references to active labour-market policies, education, youth policies and work-life balance.
Teaching tasks will be assigned in sociological courses, in particular in the field of economic sociology, sociology of welfare, and sociology of professions within BA and MA programmes for a maximum of 30 hours per year.
This position is at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage, whose aim is to provide students with the knowledge to develop those interpretive, critical, analytical and communication skills that are necessary to understand and navigate the complexities of life in the 21st century.
