Call for Papers: 2019 Congress of the Swiss Sociological Association on the Future of Work, Switzerland, deadline: 15 January 2019

Dear colleagues,

The Swiss Sociological Association (SSA) and the Sociology Institute of the University of Neuchatel are accepting proposals for workshops and plenary sessions for the 2019 Congress of the Swiss Sociological Association. The theme of the event is The Future of Work. The Congress will take place in Neuchatel, Switzerland, September 10 to 12, 2019.

Many of our collective experiences and individual lives are organized around work. But work is changing. Technology, globalization, and new management practices are reshaping where, when, how, and how much we work. They also determine who works and who does not. This has far-reaching social and political implications that still need to be unpacked.

We invite proposals for plenary sessions and workshops. The deadline for submission is January 15, 2019. A call for individual abstracts will be released in February. Proposals may be submitted in English, German, or French. For more information, including guidelines on how to submit, please see the call for proposals (also available in French and German) or visit our website at: http://www.unine.ch/socio/sociocongress2019.

Sincerely,

The Organizing Committee
